In 2019, the Swiss Association for art education SFKP / SSPA acquired the eJournal art Education Research. From the 9th year onward the series will be published with the number 16/2019 under editorship of the board and secretary of the SFKP / SSPA. Individual issues are designed in turn by different editorial teams.
The eJournal Art Education Research was conceived in 2010 at the Institute for Art Education IAE at the Zurich University of the arts ZHdK. It was edited by Carmen Mörsch and accompanied by a scientific advisory board. Multiple editors were alternately responsible for individual issues until 2018. For Issue Number 16, responsibility was handed over to the board of the SFKP / SSPA. The first 15 issues of the eJournal Art Education Research are made available in the archive.
The aim of the SFKP's eJournal Art Education Research is to map and stimulate research in art education, bringing actors into conversation with one other and connecting them–within Switzerland and internationally. The focus is on topics that address current research in art education or which identify it as a desideratum. In order to register the heterogeneity of art education research activities, both open calls and thematic prompts are published, diverse forms of research are addressed and guest editions are welcomed. The outputs of the eJournal art Education Research published by the SFKP / SSPA are accompanied by the board of the association and can be initiated by research colloquia. The issues are published in German and/or French; the abstracts of the articles are available in these languages and English.
The eJournal art Education Research is publicly accessible online (open access). It is peer reviewed by the editors of the respective issues. Issues are published biannually.
An application for editorship of an issue is welcomed at any time via a written proposal (approximately 1 page). You can reach the board of the association at the e-mail address vorstand(at)sfkp.ch.
