DRONE OPERATØR is the musical venture by artists Paul Barsch & Tilman Hornig who started its prolific career as a conceptual kleptomaniac post digital free jazz outfit about 5,22 years ago. Since then they have created more than 370 songs (~24 hours) of experimental and free form quasi-jazz, that are continuously released on Soundcloud. Various collections of songs have also been physically released on Kontrapunkt (DE), Blueberry Records (US), Participant (UK), Extraslim (DE) and Kratzr Records (DE). Live performances happend at LUFF FESTIVAL (Lausanne), IFZ (Leipzig), SONIC ACTS BIENNALE (Amsterdam), ARTEFACT FESTIVAL (Leuven), Meta.Morf BIENNALE (Trondheim).
