Methodically Tamed Desire. Teaching through research as laboratory

The progression and outcomes of the seminar «How to Draw Sound. Ästhetische Übersetzungsfragen» [How to Draw Sound. Aesthetic Questions of Translation] (C.v.O. University Oldenburg) were recorded in a research diary, which at the same time worked as a kind of map of an ever continuing rhizome in time and space. Eva Sturm's idea was to do research by drawing, thinking or listening and translate this into text, which takes research as a greedy-exciting-tamed action of analytical introspection that everybody has to handle with all its difficulties.
