studied at the Pratt Institute/N.Y. Fine Arts and took part in exhibitions in the USA and Switzerland. She was artistic director of the Biennale Bern 2005 and is a lecturer at the BA Vermittlung in Kunst und Design and MA Art Education at the HKB. Together with Ruth Kunz she has authored Scribbling Notions, a pilot study on pictorial processes in early childhood. Baum/Jakob collaborated on the research project Art Mediation in Transformation and won the SAM Art Award in 2011.
