Art Ed­u­ca­tion Re­search at Uni­ver­si­ties of the Arts in Switzer­land

With this article Barbara Bader takes a look at the art education research field in Switzerland. According to the author this field is less in a state of change but in its initial stage. Starting with an outline of the beginnings of art educational research activities, Bader reflects on the specific situation at the Bern University of the Arts (HBK) and its research projects as well as on the conditions for sustainable research in the field of art education.
