questioning in art education
Abstract:
This 23rd issue of the e Journal Art Education Research is dedicated to asking questions in art education. We speak of "art education" both in the sense of the academic discipline, which is shaped by various fields of reference (cf. Meyer & Sabisch 2014) and at the same time has its own waywardness in research and teaching (cf. Schürch 2021), and in the sense of the concrete art educational situations that constitute our practice. We understand asking art educational questions in three ways: raising questions in art educational research as well as the specificity of art educational questions and the practice of art educational questioning. So how do researching art educators ask questions? What do they ask? And what does it actually mean, questioning and researching in art education? On the basis of six contributions and three sections, answers to such questions are pursued.
